“THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 11 PM EST THURSDAY.
STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP THURSDAY MORNING IN THE WAKE OF A STRONG COLD FRONT AND CONTINUING INTO THURSDAY EVENING.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED DURING THIS TIME, WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR WIND GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH FROM MID-MORNING THURSDAY INTO EARLY THURSDAY EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY METRO AREA AND ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST.
WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.”
