Hobokenpix: Pumpkins

[Hoboken411 takes tens of thousands of pictures – but most never make it on the site. What a waste! As a new feature – each and every day at 5pm – a new “Photo of the Day” entry will be posted. Completely random – and often without a story attached. Just plain ‘ole Hoboken!]

Hoboken Photos of the Day – 10/21/2008

Here’s a picture of a beautiful autumn arrangement over at the Shipyard Park (13th and Sinatra). This was also used in my “What I like about Hoboken” video last week.

Of course it wouldn’t be nearing Halloween in Hoboken without some smashing of random pumpkins either (taken on Hudson Street.)

PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

Yes I saw a bunch smashed ones on the corner of 9th & Hudson in front the Stevens dorm on the corner, it was a complete sticky mess.

Lovely. There’s an arrangement like it at the Hudson Tea building. As my friend’s 4-year-old stood before it (barely taller than one of the pumpkins), I asked him, “hey, did you put that together? It looks great!”

He denied it.
