No parking near Maxwell Place

Hoboken411 reader Matt wanted to point out that street parking “privileges” have been revoked on the street east of 1025 Maxwell Lane. Why?

Nada. Zero. Zilch. Negative. Nuh-uh.

“There is no longer parking allowed on that street between Maxwell place and Maxwell Place Park. I was walking over there over the weekend and noticed there were no cars parked, which I thought was strange… and then saw the No Parking, Car will be towed signs. I think that’s all new, since this is the first time I noticed no cars there. Just thought I’d let ya know. Pretty ridiculous I think.”

20+ spots now gone. Do you think they did this for a good reason? Like construction vehicles, etc?

Are these streets similar to the Shipyard in that Maxwell controls the parking rules?

This area became a no parking area on September 5, 2008.
