AVOID REALTY EXPRESS LABARBERA LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I recently just rented an apartment through them in the _____ _____ condo and I have had issues ever since. Not only were the walls and floors a complete MESS when I got in there, but my toilet occasionally clogs and my shower several times throughout the afternoon decides to reenact Ghostbusters 2 and ferociously fills up with dirty soap suds . At this point, my toilet also begins to gurggle and back up. Anyhow, REALTY EXPRESS also manages my property and they refuse to fix my walls, which as described are a mess and have holes in them from the previous owners, but also have shirked the responsibility of my plumbing problems off as a building problem, and thus, they are not responsible. They have sent plumbers twice, who have no idea what is going on and have snaked the lines with no success. After multiple emails I called them back, specifically a man in the management section who may just have the same last name as the realty company. I was put on hold for him after being told he was in. After the receptionist went to go get him on the line he conveniently had to put me through to voicemail. you people obviously don’t own or deal with the shitty property managers around town.

he did not blow me off, he knew my building and ensured me that is was ok and he would have my guy check it out in the morning. sorry i did not give you the details.

my old companies it would go to a voicemail and I would pray someone called me in 24 hours, so yes my standards are very low.

I might worry too if I lived in an older building & some areas were not heated. I have had a pipe burst in a home I lived in. The pipe was in an exterior wall in a basement closet. The closet got no heat at all (the rest of the house was heated) & the pipe froze/burst. If the common areas were cold enough a pipe very well could burst under the right conditions – especially if it were near an exterior wall in an unheated area.
have standards become so low
I’d hope not but…

I sometimes see a plumber’s (electrician’s maybe?) truck with a huge slogan, “We show up”. Not we’re the best or we have the lowest prices in town. No, we just show up, be happy about that and STFU.

…I gotta take down that phone number, especially if it was an electrician. 😉 Seriously, why haven’t I looked at electrician reviews here, this site isn’t just BBQ, fondue and politics.
