Hoboken Modern – 159 14th St., Hoboken, NJ
It’s a shop that sells relics of days past.
“Everything in our store is original vintage furniture and home products all made in the 1950’s and 1960’s. We have curated a range from collectibles to investment grade pieces, so there is something for everyone.”
I’m sure there’s a market for this type of stuff in Hoboken, as there are folks in town that just don’t want commercial stuff. Whether that’s from IKEA or upscale places like Crate and Barrel.
However, whether people are willing to pay a premium for stuff from days past remains to be seen. The things back then certainly were made better, that is for sure.
Time will tell whether Hoboken Modern has succeeded and tapped into our communities desire for older stuff. We wish them luck nonetheless!
