Get that song out of my head!
Continuing our “Get that song out of my head!” feature – which is stunting our productivity!
YES is no longer a “relevant” band (per se) – because they’re basically not what they were in the 70’s and 80’s.
But every young person should become aware of this unique rock band of our existence. There are pretty much no musical acts that can compare with YES.
It’s almost important to understand and experience YES as part of anyone’s musical culture. Brilliance across the board. Brilliance beyond comparison. I can’t find anything that compares.
Do your research as you must. But more importantly – is to gather up all their songs, and listen to FULL ALBUMS in their entirety. Not “tracks” like you’re conditioned to. And listen to those albums OVER AND OVER. Hundreds of times. Once that quest is completed – you’ll understand why I feel it is essential for any human to comprehend.
It will make all modern music today PALE in comparison.
And that is something you NEED TO KNOW.
