Get that song out of my head! {Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody}

Continuing our “Get that song out of my head!” feature – which is stunting our productivity!

GET THAT SONG OUT OF MY HEAD NOWToday’s curse is Queen’s epic masterpiece “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

This I can profoundly blame on the 70’s on 7 channel on Sirius.

While other aspects like when it came out – as well as Wayne’s World – had a lot to do with the presence of this classic song – it is one of those songs that has so many chunks that stick in your mind, such as:

– “Nothing really matters…”
– “Is this a real life?”
– “Easy come, easy go”
– “If I’m not back again this time tomorrow…”

This song is so outrageously important in the “world” of music, it’s beyond belief. Nothing ever will be so outstanding or memorable.

I guess just watching the video will do enough to rid it from my mind. But still to this day – it remains a great work of art.

Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody

Although critical reaction was initially mixed, “Bohemian Rhapsody” remains one of Queen’s most popular songs and is frequently placed on modern lists of the greatest songs of all time. The single was accompanied by a promotional video, which many scholars consider ground-breaking. Rolling Stone magazine states: “Its influence cannot be overstated, practically inventing the music video seven years before MTV went on the air.” In 2004, “Bohemian Rhapsody” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2012, the song topped the list on an ITV nationwide poll in the UK to find “The Nation’s Favourite Number One” over 60 years of music.
