Hoboken Movie Lineup
Bow Tie Cinemas Movie Times Hoboken NJ
There’s a bunch of movies opening this weekend. And most of them wouldn’t get our coin, despite they hype-driven trailers. One good Documentary out this weekend is It’s Not Yet Dark. I’d catch that if you can find it. But it won’t be a big “money maker,” so expect it to be in limited area release.
The one remaining movie we thought would be best to feature is from legendary author Stephen King: The Dark Tower.
“There are other worlds than these. Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world’s most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen. The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.”
As many movies follow similar genres and plots – I’d suspect that the DNA in this one is probably above par. As long as it wasn’t infected by typical Hollywood hidden agendas. (PS – it also makes you wonder about the fate of our own beloved Empire State Building. The movie industry has a peculiar way of being “prophetic” at times…)
