Shall we play a game?
Thursday, July 24th marks the 25th anniversary of the movie “WarGames.”
This “cyber thriller” (complete with computers less powerful than a cell phone) featured Matthew Broderick as a “hacker” who accidentally starts the countdown to World War III. If you were a fan of WarGames, you might want to catch the one-night showing of the flick. In celebration of its 25th Anniversary I know it’s playing in Edgewater and Union Square as well as other select theaters nationwide. It will also include a never before seen interviews with the film’s creators, casts and crews. Also you can get a sneak peak at the making of the sequel – WarGames: The Dead Code. Check out Fathomevents.com for tickets and theater listings.
Here’s a preview of the sequel, coming to DVD a week later.
