Don’t text. Don’t Call. Just Drive.

Don’t text. Don’t Call. Just Drive. {after reading this}

Spotted this “PSA” (Public Service Announcement) on the back of an NJ Transit Bus traversing through Hoboken the other day. It reads: “Don’t Text. Don’t Call. Just Drive.”

Well, maybe they left off an important part of the distraction equation in this brilliant piece of work… DON’T READ SHIT WHILE CONTROLLING MOVING TWO-TON DEATH MACHINES!

While we appreciate the efforts of these PSA’s trying to remind people of their narcissistic behavior – I wonder why these marketing images are allowed ANYWHERE where people are trying to focus on the road. And “just drive.”

This applies to billboards and other distractions as well – especially those electronic billboards that show a sign every 10 seconds!

The “government” decrees that it’s “against the law” for you to be distracted while driving – yet there is NO effort put into removing the myriad of other distractions that can easily redirect your attention elsewhere.

It’s all about the money. It always has been. (And the control, too – but they don’t want you thinking like that!)
