Semi-Good Deal Alert: 6/16/2008

So maybe this is turning into a “semi-regular” series on Hoboken411.

Reader Ed suggested O’Donoghue’s on First Street as a “Semi-Good Deal” on Monday Nights.

Beer on a Budget

“Every Monday for the past few months, O Donoghue’s on First Street has free Buffalo wings from 7- 10 PM, and $6 pitchers of Coors and Yuengling (may be all domestics but I’m not sure.. definitely at least Coors and Yuengling though). It’s a bit of a walk depending on where you live, but it’s the best deal I’ve found in Hoboken for the price. I usually just go with my girlfriend and we watch a game on one of their TV’s and just have a pitcher for the both of us.”

So what say you? Sounds like a good deal to me. Anyone else partake?

There are enough drunks in this town. The last thing we need is to tell them where they can go on the cheap on a Monday night. Maybe that is the only day they actually stay home.

you should get that checked out sully…maybe theres something wrong with your GI tract or something. i’ve never gotten the shits from eating wings or drinking beer from there. but your mileage may vary i suppose.
i cant imagine paying 10 bucks to go there on a weekend, but for six bucks you get what you pay for. ;)
and what is it you get for your money besides a case of shits in the morning.

the place is harmless and empty on the few mondays i’ve been. the wings may not be top quality, but when paying $0 for them, they dont have to be hooters-esque.

the beer is decent enough; doesn’t taste gross or anything like that. the last time i went, it didn’t smell but it was hot because there was no AC inside (just fans). i cant imagine paying 10 bucks to go there on a weekend, but for six bucks you get what you pay for. 😉

Neither do I. 😆

I thought you might be the girl who met us there w/her boyfriend who lived right across the street from the bar. You have the right first initial.
