Spring 2016 Hoboken Arts and Music Festival

New date for for Hoboken Arts & Music Festival

The new date for the “rain or shine” Hoboken Arts & Music Festival which was postponed due to rain is: Sunday, June 12th (rain or shine).

Spring 2016 Hoboken Arts and Music Festival: Sunday, May 1, 2016

The first of two Hoboken Arts & Music Festivals in 2016 takes place on Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th Streets this Sunday, May 1st.

For those that live mundane, ordinary lives and who rarely explore the world outside of their four block radius, or away from their digital slave-master this is a treat!

The event comes to you!

Something to do

As of now, the weather looks like it’ll cooperate, so you can walk heads down on your phone from 11am to 6pm to pass by mostly non-Hoboken vendors selling food, artwork, and tons of other things they want you to spend your discretionary income on.

Three music stages set up which adds “festivity” to the festival. The large stage is south of the CVS downtown, a kiddie stage at 3rd Street, and the second stage at the north end of the festival between 6th and 7th Streets.

Some of this year’s featured musical acts include:

Amanda Holley

One act that might be worth checking out is Amanda Holley.

Amanda is an aspiring “soul singer” who says “each of us has that light inside of us to share with the world – we overcome our obstacles and triumph, and go through more struggles only to become stronger than we ever believed we could be – and it makes us a testimony to the power of the human soul!”

While “R&B” singers almost all sound the same to me, it’s nice to see someone at least following their passion.

You can enjoy her (vocal) assets on the 7th St. stage at around 2:45pm
