NYPD Police Action
NYPD Boats & Chopper near Pier A Park in Hoboken
Update: Body pulled from river.
Got a weird message sent to my iPad recently (iMessage – which we never use), containing three videos about some NYPD Police action down near Pier A Park.
Maybe some dope jumped in again.
Either way, not sure who sent it – they apparently know me. They’re a “Hoboken411 reporter even!” How cool is that.
Anyway, that’s the mayhem going on downtown now.
I think something seems off about these deaths. Why do authorities so quickly say no evidence of foul play? Does this mean it is still investigated despite the lack of evidence, or that they call off all investigation?
Not sure, but I can say that several time, more than a few, guys have decided it was an ok idea to jump in the river. Anyone recall those guys from Australia (I think) jumping in north of 15th during that hurricane we had before Sandy?
It seems like it would be hard to fall in by accident. But this guy was small, so someone could have thrown him in easily, but why? I guess I tend to think most of these guys do it on purpose for some reason – from bravado to depression, I suppose.
I fell for his family and those who cared for him, it is hard if not impossible to get past someone so young leaving us.
Very sad- Hopefully the security cameras are working- it won’t change the tragic situation, but it should tell if a crime was committed- very dangerous to be down there alone at night.RIP
Hoboken has more jumpers than the GWB. Suicidal people must be afraid of heights.
This seems like a serial event and something is not right. As far as mysterious person sending you videos, share that with the police as criminals always return to the scene of the crime…just saying.
Maybe if the cameras worked down there, we might know what happened to not just one, but possibly two young men.
