Peter Frampton: What real music skills look like

A treat from the “time machine!”

This live Peter Frampton performance from 1975 (as seen on Burt Sugarman’s Midnight Special) has been played nearly 10 million times on YouTube. But there’s a great chance that those that might benefit from seeing what good music used to be like before “robots” took over.

You know that “auto-tune” that can make anyone with semi-working vocal chords sound good? Well – Mr. Frampton was the inspiration behind it.

Except you needed a skill (like playing the guitar well) in order to use it.

If you have A.D.D. – fast forward to around 4 minutes for the start of the legendary guitar masterpiece. Still get goose bumps!

Thanks for posting that. Been so caught up in everything else, have forgotten about all of this like a slap in the face. Such good times, and great memories to relive. Shocked how easy it is to get absorbed in today without having vivid images of yesterday. Who would leave such treasures behind them? Have to dig out the old records, if I still have any.
