Hoboken students are good actors

Who says our schools don’t help our kids?

HHS students win at New Jersey Thespian Festival

hoboken-high-school-thespian.jpgFor the first time, the Drama Club participated in the New Jersey Thespian Festival. Three of our students received a mark of Superior for their performances, which is the highest mark possible for this festival. We are very proud of Shannon Jones (comic monologue), Saquan Williams (comic monologue) and Eric Rodriguez (dramatic monologue).

In addition to performing, students also attended numerous workshops including stage lighting, stage combat, props, auditioning, musical theater, stage machinery, the joy of acting on impulse, the journey from stage to screen. Our winners are eligible for the National Thespian competition in Nebraska. Some of our students will be inducted into the national Thespian organization later this Spring.

Way to go kids!
