Splintering utility pole left to rot in Hoboken

A long while ago, this telephone pole at 7th & Grand was slammed into by a motor vehicle. It’s since been “repaired,” but barely – as they left the splintering old pole just wrapped with a little rope.

Hoboken411 reader Chris said “This is how our high property tax dollars are working for use. I’m just waiting for it to fall!”

Well, I won’t argue with that. The city is probably waiting for it to fall, too – just for an excuse to keep the lawyers on the payroll!

The city has nothing to do wth utility poles. Complain to PSE&G. The city however is responsible for the roads, and I sure hope that the city asks for additional state funds for spring paving after all of the new gas line work has ripped up half of the city at this point.
