Pier C Park video surveillance
Pier C Park “eyes in the sky” video surveillance
Those that stayed around this past Thanksgiving might have noticed that Pier C Park was closed for a few days. You want to know why?
Cameras. Video surveillance cameras.
Other than the people who could care less, you have two polarized viewpoints about surveillance cameras in public places:
- People who oppose them. Because of privacy concerns, more government costs, and generally creepy nature of what amounts to “spying” on ordinary citizens.
- People who love them. They need, want and must have “big brother” look after them at all times.
Which camp are you in?
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
