Hoboken City Council Meeting 11/17/2014

Hoboken City Council Meeting of November 17, 2014

Inspect Hoboken City Council meeting documents below – and click here at 7:00pm to watch live video stream.

The unusual Monday meeting is because the city will partying it up down in fledgling Atlantic City this week for the annual NJ League of Municipalities “conference.”

If you take a look at the event guide – it looks more like a conference on how to extract money from the constituents. Although there appear to be some sensible topics, all of them are about tightening their hold on ordinary citizens, and none about how to REDUCE the size of government. Sad.

Anyway, with all attention Hoboken has received in the past few years (especially Hurricane Sandy), you’d think they’d be experts at something. Perhaps running one of the dozens of “sessions.” But I guess our city (or administration) doesn’t carry much clout these days. Mere spectators in a state full of professionals, I guess.

If anyone sees any Hoboken officials acting inappropriately down there – please be sure to snap photos!

Yep this is where they pick up BS buzz. I wonder if it is at the League of Muni conference that they teach each other to thumb their noses at multimillion dollar judgments. The Mayor of a Raritan town, in the media dissed the judge’s decision on a half million dollar fine. It sounded out of a Zimmer play book.

Don’t forget we all pay for their drinking and schmoozing parties in the evening. Fulop and Sweeny both having big shindigs. We pay for the Mayor and several of assistants without her getting any prior approval from Council and at the objection of Council.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
