Taco Truck Block Party

Taco Truck celebrates 5 years in Hoboken

Hoboken’s not always about escalating rents and doomed businesses. Here we have our 2nd local shop successfully celebrating their 5th anniversary this month. First it was Hoboken Man, now it’s The Taco Truck! And they’re having a block party to commemorate (and dollar tacos to attract a crowd).

Hoboken Taco Truck holds anniversary block party {FREE BEER}

“The Taco Truck has hit a major milestone! From our humble beginnings as a single food truck 5 years ago to the multi-restaurant concept we are now, we’ve got a lot to celebrate. And we want to share the joy with everyone who has supported us in our mission to share the taco love with the world.

Join us this Friday, October 17th, from 6pm to 9pm on Newark Street between Hudson and Washington Streets for a night of dollar tacos, beer, music, live painting, and a mural auction for a good cause! (MAP).

Our truck will be there selling all the dollar tacos you can eat, and beer will be complimentary (“pay what you’d like”) with all proceeds benefiting TRUE Mentors and the Hoboken Shelter. A DJ will be spinning tunes, along with live painters, Blair Urban and Tanya Gomelskaya, will be creating murals to be auctioned off at the end of the night. Fifty percent of mural proceeds will also go to our charities.

A special thanks to Freshly Baked Gallery in Jersey City for helping us make this night possible. Let’s party!”

It’s hard to decide which i like best about the Taco Truck brick & mortar location – the food (the catfish taco is to die for), the attitude of the staff (cheerful, attentive, and quick), or the soundtrack. A beer would be nice, but the food is that good, that you don’t need it to distract you.

Hope they don’t run out of beer before I can get there! :mrgreen:
