BBQ coming to 14th Street?

Rumor: BBQ coming to old Liberty Bar spot on 14th St. in Hoboken

As you all know, the former owner of Liberty Bar (61 14th Street uptown) sold the place. It’s been papered up for the past couple weeks. Well – the rumor of the moment is that we might be fortunate enough to have BBQ coming soon!

Apparently, the two guys that bought it are “Hoboken newbies” (i.e., no other restaurant affiliation in town).

This is certainly a tasty rumor to digest!

• Imagine fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs?
• Or perfectly seasoned, moist and juicy beef brisket?
• Or a nice fresh spit-roasted BBQ chicken?

There’s nothing quite like this at the moment in Hoboken, and would be a WELCOME addition to the uptown selection of places to eat.
