Reader Mail: Downtown Construction

Here a Hoboken411 reader is wondering how this building is allowed to be built higher up. I didn’t see this on any of the Hoboken Historical Preservation Committee agendas, so not sure how this variance got through, or when.

He writes:

“What is up with the building on corner of Newark across from the Post Office? Looks like they have begun building steel i-beam structure on top? Are they raising that building a few floors? It’s pretty high already… Don’t they have a limit to how high buildings can be?”

It looks like a cell phone Co. is going to put there equipmenton the roof like they have been doing all over town.
