Schnackenberg’s Stroller Parking – polite hint?

Not sure how many of you have noticed – but on the tree bed in front of the newly-renovated Schnackenberg’s Luncheonette is a sign that reads “Pram Parking.”

I’m wondering if that was installed as a “polite hint” for stroller moms NOT to bring their massive strollers inside.

However, from the looks of it – that plan is not working, as you can see below. And recently, I’ve noticed “stroller props” have been put there – probably to give passerby the impression of use and to program their minds in the future.

But parents have to know that 100’s of dogs in Hoboken use that as a pit stop along their travels, right?

on 12th, right before starbucks, an entire half city block is a set of strollers parked most of the day. They impede passage of the side walk. No disability scooter could get by and I would think it would be very difficult w a wheel chair. Yet it persists. Why doesn’t the city enforce safe sidewalks?
