11/30/2006 Update:

Spoke with the owner, Mehernosh Daroowalla, and got the scoop on the quick renovations.

The painted the place. Much brighter now. New, lighter colored flooring. They pushed the back wall back, and added 8 extra tables to the interior. They’ll be open around 7 tonight for dinner!

He didn’t want me taking pictures till next week when the final finishing touches are in place.

Read more about the delivery problems, and see a recent lunch buffet review after the jump:

The Stevens Choir will present a special concert on December 3, 2006 at 3pm at DeBaun Auditorium on 5th & Hudson Streets in Hoboken.

In Memoriam (see below) is dedicated to the victims of September 11th, 2001, in recognition of the tragedy’s fifth year anniversary this fall. The Choir has prepared a repertoire that includes segments of Mozart’s Requiem and the premiere of two original pieces written as responses to 9/11. One is by James Redcay, the Choir’s accompanist and a gifted composition student at New York University, and the other is by James Stepleton, a recognized composer teaching Music Appreciation at Stevens. In addition to the concert, there will be a special unveiling of Hoboken artist Raymond Smith’s 9/11-themed painting, Comfort and Hope, from 2-6pm in the front lobby. The painting and it’s development can be seen at www.raymondsmithart.com

Dave Zimmerman, the Executive Director at the DeBaun Center for Performing Arts hopes you and yours will be able to join them for this very special concert. For ticket reservations, please contact the Box Office at 201-216-8937 or BoxOffice@debaun.org If you have any questions about the concert, please contact Bethany Reeves, Choir Director, at breeves@stevens.edu
