Jeff from Cornerstone Pets (105 Ninth St.) said a couple of their customers found a very sweet cat on Sunday around 10th & Park in Hoboken. Give Cornerstone Pets a call at 201-653-4644 to see if it’s yours!
Spotted this ladies glove propped on a rail along Washington Street between 10th and 11th this afternoon. Looks kinda nice and warm, too! If this is yours, hopefully it’s still there once you realize where it is!
Hoboken411 reader Meghan lost a bracelet yesterday… did you find?
Sentimental item lost
“I believe I lost this on the 126 bus. I got on at 14th and willow Wednesday morning and when I got to work the bracelet was no longer on my wrist. I just got it as a 25th Birthday present from my parents. I have a claim with NJ Transit, but may have dropped it on the way to the bus. Thanks for your help!”
Email Hoboken411 if you found it, and I’ll put you in touch with the rightful owner.
Got two “found item” emails this morning near or in Church Square Park. If it’s true what they that “things come in three’s,” I should be getting another email about a found item at some point today. The Pink Girls Jacket (sized 6 to 12 months) was found on 4th Street between Washington and Bloomfield, and the photo was found in the park. If either of these belongs to you or someone you know – please email hoboken411@gmail.com and I’ll put you in touch with the person(s) that found them.
“Thanks again for posting so quickly. It turns out that an incredibly decent guy, Al Stone, who works for Hudson County Parks and Recreation found the wallet during the course of his duties, and called my wife when he got home from work!”
9/29/2009:
If you find – please return!
A Hoboken411 reader emailed me shortly ago saying his wife lost a black wallet/purse type thing somewhere between Shoprite and Columbus Park. If you find it, please email hoboken411@gmail.com. A reward will be given, along with redemption from the man above.
I don’t get it… Hoboken411 is on it’s way to FOUR years as a robust online community here in town – yet people still feel black and white photocopies of lost pets work. Why aren’t they contacting me?
Here’s a not-so-bad photocopy of a multi-colored cat that is missing. Not sure if it’s grey and white – or brown and white – or even blue and white. All I know is that this black and white cat is missing. Frankly, I’ve never seen one like it. Call 201-456-8600 if you think you found this frisky feline.
One Hoboken411 reader lost her SanDisk mp3 player yesterday – in the mid-town area. She’s willing to offer a reward for the return of it (she can identify the songs loaded). So if you found it – just email me and I’ll put you in touch (hoboken411@gmail.com)
Some short nuggets of miscellany for a Friday night… Witnesses needed for a pedestrian accident last month, free iced coffee on Monday (for a select few) – and a reader-supplied YouTube “blast from the past…
Did you witness this pedestrian accident?
Hoboken Lawyer Thomas LoBue represents the woman who was seriously injured in a car accident on 7/18/2009 at the corner of 14 th Street and Hudson St. (Wasn’t reported here on 411)
She was a pedestrian walking in the crosswalk with the green light at about 12:30 in the afternoon when a Chevy SUV/pickup truck struck her. The truck was making a left turn from Hudson going south and turning east onto 14th. The driver did stop, and gave his information to the police – report filed, etc. Apparently, there were numerous witnesses but none have given the police their information yet.
They are looking for witnesses to this accident as the woman was seriously injured and any eyewitness accounts as to what happened would be greatly appreciated. You can email Thomas at tlobue@lobuelaw.com if you’d like to help out.
27 Free Dames Iced Coffees on Monday
Here’s a peculiar Hoboken happening… Hoboken resident Mykal Altilio wants to celebrate his puppy’s first birthday – and is giving away a free iced coffee at Dames Coffee (307 First Street) or the first 27 customers….
“Hi. On Monday it will be my puppy’s first birthday. Her name is Frankie Consuelo Flora Sinatra. To celebrate I am setting up with Borah, the owner, Tae, and Kim for those who mention “Happy Birthday Frankie” to either of them will get a free small Iced coffee on Monday. Frankie’s picture is on the register.”
When asked why he’s doing this – and why 27 cups of coffee, Mykal said “Frankie has the ability to get many to smile. If one looks at the store front and register, Frankie’s picture can be seen. Guess Frankie can be seen as the “unofficial mascot” for Dames. Why 27? I liked the number. And I think having her in the dress reminded me of a movie called 27 dresses, which I haven’t seen. So basically I just came up with 27.”
