8/18/2008 Doomed Report:

As several Hoboken411 readers mentioned a few days ago, Exit Hoboken Realty has “Exited” Hoboken, and gets filed in the “Doomed” category (at least their 620 Washington Street location.)

According to Exit Realty’s Website, they’re “growing!”

Does anyone know if this (what seems to be an MLM company) is moving to one of the countless other empty storefronts in Hoboken (or the doomed Cupo Real Estate spot)?

Been meaning to post this for a while, but Sleep Cheap decided to stay in Hoboken and has moved a few doors down.

What’s up with the oddities surrounding the letter “S” in Hoboken? Mayor Robert, 7-Stars Pizza, and now “Nobody beat Sleep Cheap”. Unless, of course, they’re referring to the fact they didn’t leave town.

One Hoboken411 reader sent this cameraphone picture in today, thinking this “new” Starbucks might have fallen victim to their recent “meltdown,” as they were meddling with the letters above the entrance:

Below is a picture I took two days ago.. maybe those were just “temporary” letters, and will be replaced with a more formal sign?

It’s true! At least one of the two rumored Starbucks Coffee Shops are coming… this one replacing the doomed Fabco Shoes:

I didn’t officially confirm this, but one reader basically said that the coloring book store is no longer, and the space is just used for kids parties.

I suppose this might have had something to do with, I don’t know, Amazon.com?

Any parent reading hear something about this?

I thought this would be a no-fail business. I wonder what went wrong…

6/17/2008 R.I.P. Update:

After forever and a day, Mailboxes, Etc. put the brown paper on the windows, and is finally done.

You can still pick up your mail at the post office, and they left a few notes on the window, including the phrase “Please know that you will truly be missed.”

I bet the reason they truly miss everyone is that they’ll have no one to bitch at all day long! What will they do now?

Seems as if Emack & Bolio’s has been closed for a week or so… Rumors “swirling” around that it may become a Pinkberry.

Been sitting on this for a few days…

Seems as if Wee Beasties Bootery in Hoboken has some newspaper covering the windows, and an ambiguous sign that reads “Closed.”

Not sure exactly what the deal is, but I’ve heard a buzz on the street that it’s yet another landlord/rent issue. Anyone have some other insight?
