Hoboken Photo Leftovers for August 16th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: August 16, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers August 16 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: If you like “Costo-like” bakery products and were planning on heading to Old German Bakery this week – burn on you. You have to wait till the 23rd, on vacation till then. Better option? Amish Markets in New Jersey – you will NEVER go back to another bakery again in your life. We mean that!
  • Photo 2: Bareburger is now open, with all their organic, non-GMO goodness. Word on the street? “Life-changing” taste. We’ll find out soon after they work their kinks out.
  • Photo 3: Sort of like a “Linus Blanket” (some of you may be too young to understand), but life without “infrastructure headaches” from PSE&G could be troubling…
  • Photo 4: Ahhh. Nothing like a farmers market, right? Here’s shot of the Thursday uptown venue getting set up. Wonder how King’s feels about that?

Wow the hits keep on coming! Another wicked weekend to enjoy!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for August 9th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: August 9, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers August 9 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: How nice is this? Since Anthony David’s at 10th & Bloomfield expanded – they’ve also cared enough to spruce up the sidewalk with nice pavers!
  • Photo 2: The former Bahama Mama’s is getting that slick “exclusive” NYC exterior that makes it look prestigious. Wonder what the new name will be?
  • Photo 3: Is it just me, or does the Slider Street mural seem a bit phallic?
  • Photo 4: United Water was busy last week – with several more “infrastructure issues” affecting the integrity of the roads.
  • Photo 5: Planning to head to Giorgio’s Bakery this weekend? Bag it, because they’re on vacation till the 12th!

Could be the “perfect” summer weekend of 2014. Get off your lazy ass!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for August 2nd

Hoboken photo remains of the week: August 2, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers August 2 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-5: Yikes! Willow Ave. between 13th & 11th got repaved with sub-standard material! Rejoice the Queen! Ha ha! They will “paint” the lines this week…
  • Photo 6:Did you know that The Blowout Zone now offers “cuts” on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays? Grab a beer after your cut!
  • Photo 7: Whoops! McLoone’s Pier House not quite ready yet…
  • Photo 8: The Toxic Tent did a musical chairs kind of maneuver.
  • Photo 9: And about as exciting as a Red Bull van giving away free sugary garbage – the uptown Prime Time convenience empire finalizes their work on 14th Street….

Not so lucky this weekend… be aware of possible “precipitation!”

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for July 26th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: July 26, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers July 26 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-8: Our favorite time to attend St. Ann’s Festival: Before they open! Special note – we were a bit concerned that some of the vegetable matter served here was sitting out in the sun all day without refrigeration.
  • Photo 9: Bareburger got their brand new “weathered” looking exterior. Keep it real!
  • Photos 10-11: Wow, “renovation” moving along fast at what was once Bahama Mama’s.
  • Photo 12: Uptown will soon smell like oysters once Stingray Lounge opens.
  • Photo 13: And Bagels on The Hudson makes it clear they’re renovating as well.

What are your special plans for this typical summer weekend?

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for July 19th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: July 19, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers July 19 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Those who enjoy the marvels of the modern construction process can have front row seat downtown near the Pearson Education project.
  • Photo 2: A plain barber shop with an over-the-top marketing veil called Clubhouse opening soon on Adams Street.
  • Photo 3: Sweet. Rite Aid now open 24 hours. Sure hope no crazies decide to cause trouble in the wee hours.
  • Photo 4: The building within Mercury Lot has risen to it’s final height. Do you get a chemical testing kit at closing?
  • Photo 5: What’s taking Kiddie Academy so long? Gold plated desks on backorder? Pushing almost a year since they said they were opening…

Wow, today is practically perfect. Take an adventure somewhere! Or not.

Hoboken Photo Leftovers July 12 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Ah… an otherwise nice photo of the Hoboken waterfront, NYC skyline and Hudson River ruined by robotic solar trash bins.
  • Photo 2: For those that absolutely need proof it is summer…
  • Photo 3: Definitely eye-catching, but the “dummy” used as a prop over at Club KO downtown spooks me out each time I see it. Kind of has the same look our “Mayor” had during her CNN scripted session “interview.”
  • Photos 4: We told ya’ that AltSmoke was coming!

Just 50 days till Labor Day!
