Hoboken Photo Leftovers for April 25th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: April 25, 2015

Mother Nature rewarded us with good weather again this weekend. Don’t let it go to waste!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers April 25 2015 NJ Hoboken411

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-6: In case you missed the Blue Eyes Cafe update – here are some more pics from the big feeding frenzy last weekend.
  • Photo 7: Spring blossoms don’t last very long. Spend some time actually looking at them, smelling them, enjoying them – rather than sending updates to your friends.
  • Photos 8-9: The road work plague continues. Some businesses already received a standing eight-count.
  • Photo 10: City Bistro uptown getting a new look for the spring.
  • Photo 11: The “for rent” sign came down at the former Helmers’ location. Will the next proprietor hit a home run?

Have a great weekend!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for April 18th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: April 18, 2015

Don’t you get the “fuzzy feeling” once the weather “breaks” and the outdoors calls your name? We love it!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers April 18 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-4: Interesting sequence of events. Because of the “road closures,” traffic had to be diverted to the east side of Washington Street. The net result? A frickin’ tractor trailer smashed a tree! Environmentalists galore had mental breakdowns!
  • Photo 5: Work with renovation at the old Hoboken Paint & Hardware. Will it be Athleta or something else?
  • Photo 6: The old Napa Auto Parts lot is a cookie cutter condo under construction. “You gotta pay through the nose to be close to NYC and a vibrant night life!”
  • Photos 7: And an even more bland cookie-cutter condo going up at 1st & Adams. At least it’s a bit better than it was before. 3 to 1 odds it’ll be the scene of some police call during some future “St. Paddy’s Day” event.

We’re going to explore NJ a bit this weekend. What are your ambitious plans? Laying low? Getting drunk? Hooking up?

We’re nine years old today – and been online longer than Fakebook!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers April 11 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: People been clamoring for Buddha Press to open.
  • Photo 2: Sheesh. GNC has one of the lamest facades in town.
  • Photo 3: Ongoing work at the old Village Pourhouse which is set to become Little Town Social.
  • Photos 4-6: Every business near the “road work” has said it has hurt revenue.
  • Photo 7: Uni K Wax Center also busy at work trying to open up their crotch management salon.
  • Photo 8: Stuff happening at the former Jewelry by Peter spot as well. Will this next business have a chance?
  • Photo 9: And in “thrilling” news – the midtown Liberty Realty spot re-opened. I did NOT wet my pants because of it.

Gorgeous weekend, go exploring!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers April 4 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-2: The Hoboken Little League Field House at Stevens Park now open for business. Good cheap eats again, along with the help of Benny Love in 2015.
  • Photo 3: Club Barks fills a void for doggy day care in Hoboken. Life would be better for pooches if they didn’t have to, though.
  • Photos 4-5: Hoboken might sink into the Hudson at the rate they’re tearing up the roads.

Did you know some people are religious about sports but not religion?

Hoboken Photo Leftovers March 28 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: How many people, while waiting on line for the “rat race” really contemplate their options in life? Or are they just “comfortably numb?”
  • Photo 2: This guy enjoyed the tranquil scene at Pier C Park, until a flock of seagulls crashed the session.
  • Photo 3: The American Legion post downtown finally back online after Hurricane Sandy. They could use an exterior refresh, though.
  • Photo 4: I’m always curious about projects like the Cast Iron Lofts over in neighboring Jersey City. Guess the “Gold Coast” is desirable enough!

There’s a whole world out there if you’re not glued to the circus called TV!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers March 21 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Winter (literally) clung on as the first day of spring brought snowy conditions to the Mile Square.
  • Photos 2-6: Road work crippled the city for the umpteenth week in a row. Businesses are feeling the impact.
  • Photos 7: Poor Cat Designs followed the blueprint for improper market research in Hoboken. For rent (again).

Bet you can’t last the whole day without turning your TV on.
