Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 27th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 27, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 27 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: While it should be expected that emergency vehicles of all kinds park wherever they need to when making calls – is it okay when they’re not on calls?
  • Photo 2: Infrastructure work around town has made typical bottle-necks even worse.
  • Photo 3: Congrats to Boutique Realty and their expansion to Red Bank, NJ (where many families move to from Hoboken).
  • Photo 4: Jack’s Cabin steakhouse now open. For some odd reason this politically plagued area makes us not planning on visiting it.

Summer-like weather for the first Fall weekend of 2014!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 20th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 20, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 20 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Say what you want about the new Tally-Ho Saloon, but it’s pretty much a good old-fashioned regular bar. Not too many of those left in town these days.
  • Photos 2-3: Wow, our waterfront is shoddy. Workers from “Aqua-Mist Irrigation” were ripping Pier A Park up to make repairs. Guess we didn’t negotiate a warranty?
  • Photos 4-5: For the pooches. Did you know that Rita’s Ice gives out free “pup cups” so our four-legged friends can have a taste of frozen custard?
  • Photo 6: Nice sign Kure Pilates has, right? I guess they can afford it with the near mortgage payment membership fees.
  • Photo 7: “Love the smell of crosswalk paint burning through property taxpayer dollars in the morning.” Remember, the more “amenities,” the more they pickpocket YOU.
  • Photos 8-9: Last but not least, Smokin’ Barrel has their signage up. And the plethora of big-screen TV’s are all working. Hey, it’s your time I guess.

A gorgeous weekend in store. Don’t squander it away glued to the idiot box!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 13th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 13, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 13 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: No idea where to watch the Mayweather fight tonight? Village Pourhouse downtown is a great option.
  • Photo 2: Bludgeoned! PSE&G continues ripping our already decimated streets to shreds with “gas line” work.
  • Photo 3: 1st & Adams gets a minor upgrade with a residential building taking shape. Looks like shoddy construction to us.
  • Photo 4: Craving fresh seafood? You’ll have to wait a little longer. Stingray Lounge uptown still a couple weeks out.
  • Photo 5: El-cheapo ladies clothing store “People” has been playing with people with their “going out of business” sale for a while. At least the sign is down now.
  • Photo 6: 1415 Park Place continues it’s evolution into a living, breathing building. For now at least, it kind of “matches” the BP gas station…

Don’t let a little rain spoil your plans! Get out there and explore!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 6th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 6, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 6 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Napoli’s Pizza now has slices, as they proudly proclaim via sandwich board sign on the sidewalk.
  • Photo 2: Say what you want about the cookie-cutter Sovereign Building uptown – they make the neighborhood nicer with their landscaping.
  • Photos 3-4: Here today, gone tomorrow. Wacky over-priced garage sale junk seller Urban Nesters no longer at 706 Washington Street. They’re up in some shack in Union City now, and claim to be coming back to a retail spot in Hoboken. Yawn.

Just a couple more weeks until fall begins!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for August 30th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: August 30, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers August 30 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-2: That Willow Ave. reverse angle parking / resurfacing project included excessive “safety markings” which will ensure contractors will be on the government payroll until property taxpayers demand non-essential budget line item cuts.
  • Photo 3: Smokin’ Barrel and their wall-to-wall TV set brainwashing mecca almost set to open.
  • Photo 4: By the time you read this – 14th Street will have another Prime Grocery store open.
  • Photo 5: PSE&G was ripping up streets all over town installing some wiring. Now already bottom-of-the-barrel road conditions get even worse. Don’t expect Xmas gifts from your kidneys this year.

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice casual Labor Day weekend!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for August 23rd

Hoboken Photo Leftover August 23 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Not sure what drunks have against the glass storefront at Foot Locker, but it seems to get smashed every other week!
  • Photo 2: Big blood drive buses in front of the police station. However, I certainly didn’t see a “Cake Boss line” of people rushing to donate.
  • Photo 3: Prime Grocery on 14th getting closer to opening. One half store, other half storage space for their convenience store empire.

How will you pass the time this weekend?
