Tomorrow is March!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for February 21st

Hoboken photo remains of the week: February 21, 2015

Hoboken Photo Leftovers February 21 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Another gorgeous shot of any icy Hudson River with NYC as a back drop. Why? Because it is rare, that’s why.
  • Photo 2: Progress over at Willow14 uptown. Would I park underground in Hoboken? Nope.
  • Photo 3: Know any out-of-work hair stylists? Bangz Salon is hiring.
  • Photo 4: Maybe those pothole killers aren’t so bad after all. But they basically replace “thumps” with “humps.”
  • Photo 5: PSE&G in the process of “elevating” power substations. That, until some other problem knocks out power in Hoboken.
  • Photo 6: Single digits will only get you laid if you have heat, and she does not. Haha!

About a month left of winter!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers February 14 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-4: PSE&G work all over town (probably 18 more months of this). Prediction? Roads will always be a danger to your precious internal organs.
  • Photo 5: Suck me sideways. M&P Biancamano’s takes one of their much-deserved vacations exactly when I was craving their eggplant parm. Back on the 16th.
  • Photo 6: That wacky Hoboken Wine House is now technically “open.” Guess they can’t afford to be closed, despite the half-assed interior. And what’s with the missing ltrs?
  • Photo 7: The “progress” over at 15th & Washington is not very obvious – but it’s the most important part of a building: The foundation. (Same is true for relationships, too).

It’s Saturday. How romantic!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for February 7th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: February 7, 2015

Hoboken Photo Leftovers February 7 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Exotic car spotting! A Fisker Karma! This once $120k car can be had for under $50k on eBay since the company was hit with financial troubles.
  • Photo 2: Work nearly done on the apartment next to the mercury lot. Looks like everything else in Hoboken.
  • Photo 3: That wacky “church condo” on Willow actually looks kind of interesting and fun as it’s coming together. Love the balconies.
  • Photo 4: $1.82 for that cheap gas station near the Holland tunnel. It’s been even less uptown ($1.79 was the lowest I’ve seen it).

No sports this weekend must be killing a lot of people.

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for January 31st

Hoboken photo remains of the week: January 31, 2015

Hoboken Photo Leftovers January 31 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Weird. We were told the recently closed Helmers’ had a new tenant – but there’s a “for lease” sign in the window. Hmmm.
  • Photo 2: Say “Hoboken Road Work Sucks” five times fast. Not easy to do.
  • Photo 3: Beethoven’s Veranda on “winter break” in case you were Jonesing for shrubbery.
  • Photo 4: Interesting. The “for rent” sign at the doomed Copper Kettles location is gone. Wonder what business will try their luck at that cursed spot next?
  • Photos 5-9: The winter storm that left a few inches in Hoboken won first prize in the hype contest.

Who’s craving warm weather yet?

Hoboken Photo Leftovers January 24 2015

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Always some kind of “work” going on in town, like this pile of bricks at Pier A Park.
  • Photo 2: The corporation known as the “state” of NJ is really milking the Lottery Cow. Frickin’ Rite Aid?
  • Photo 3: Gobs of construction + outdated infrastructure = The next Mayor’s problem.
  • Photo 4: Club Barks coming along. Dogs are expensive in a city.
  • Photos 5: The apartment next to the Mercury Lot also shaping up. Wonder where the doctor’s office will go?
  • Photos 6: Old school bars like Stinky’s a thing of the past in Hoboken. You need to be “upscale” to survive these days.

Can you smell snow in the air?
