Hoboken Photo Leftovers for October 18th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: October 18, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers October 18 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Overall (and thanks to PSE&G) Hoboken now has the hands-down WORST road conditions in it’s history.
  • Photo 2: Maybe that church to condo conversion on Willow Ave. doesn’t look so bad after all?
  • Photo 3: Increasing the (infrastructure-straining) density of Hoboken one condo at a time…
  • Photo 4: It’s “Fall 2014″ and still no sign of the Riverside medical practice at Maxwell Place.

Countdown to winter… enjoy the outdoors while you can!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for October 11th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: October 11, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers October 11 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Serious construction going on at 4th & Jefferson. What will it be you ask? You guessed it – more infrastructure-straining apartments!
  • Photo 2: The Monroe Center in the process of upgrading their prehistoric pedestrian bridge. Nice & transparent now (unlike our city gov’t).
  • Photo 3: Never really seen the brandy-new pickup truck the Hoboken Fire Department got. Wonder what the purpose is? To schlep stuff around?
  • Photo 4: Construction progress at the infamous Mercury Lot in midtown.
  • Photo 5: Big props on 10 years for Little Grocery – home of “Hoboken’s Best Egg Sandwich” (butter is the secret ingredient in case you were wondering).
  • Photo 6: The opening consensus about Jack’s Cabin downtown is that it’s small (almost cramped), but well decorated – but more importantly is over-priced for what you get. SW Hoboken is NOT Manhattan, people!

Another rainy start to an otherwise seasonable weekend. Par for the course.

Hoboken Photo Leftovers October 4 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: It’s the first weekend in October! Why not expand your horizons and visit Helmers’ – Hoboken’s only German Bar and have an Oktoberfest brew?
  • Photo 2: More infrastructure work, as an array of bulky PSE&G trucks made parking even harder!
  • Photo 3: Official: Hoboken Dhaba Indian Restaurant is “Dhaba Dhaba Doomed.” They had an active Groupon Deal too. Wonder if customers will get refunded.

Colder, soggy start to the weekend – but the couch is comfy!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 27th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 27, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 27 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: While it should be expected that emergency vehicles of all kinds park wherever they need to when making calls – is it okay when they’re not on calls?
  • Photo 2: Infrastructure work around town has made typical bottle-necks even worse.
  • Photo 3: Congrats to Boutique Realty and their expansion to Red Bank, NJ (where many families move to from Hoboken).
  • Photo 4: Jack’s Cabin steakhouse now open. For some odd reason this politically plagued area makes us not planning on visiting it.

Summer-like weather for the first Fall weekend of 2014!

Hoboken Photo Leftovers for September 20th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 20, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 20 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: Say what you want about the new Tally-Ho Saloon, but it’s pretty much a good old-fashioned regular bar. Not too many of those left in town these days.
  • Photos 2-3: Wow, our waterfront is shoddy. Workers from “Aqua-Mist Irrigation” were ripping Pier A Park up to make repairs. Guess we didn’t negotiate a warranty?
  • Photos 4-5: For the pooches. Did you know that Rita’s Ice gives out free “pup cups” so our four-legged friends can have a taste of frozen custard?
  • Photo 6: Nice sign Kure Pilates has, right? I guess they can afford it with the near mortgage payment membership fees.
  • Photo 7: “Love the smell of crosswalk paint burning through property taxpayer dollars in the morning.” Remember, the more “amenities,” the more they pickpocket YOU.
  • Photos 8-9: Last but not least, Smokin’ Barrel has their signage up. And the plethora of big-screen TV’s are all working. Hey, it’s your time I guess.

A gorgeous weekend in store. Don’t squander it away glued to the idiot box!

Hoboken photo remains of the week: September 13, 2014

Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 13 2014

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: No idea where to watch the Mayweather fight tonight? Village Pourhouse downtown is a great option.
  • Photo 2: Bludgeoned! PSE&G continues ripping our already decimated streets to shreds with “gas line” work.
  • Photo 3: 1st & Adams gets a minor upgrade with a residential building taking shape. Looks like shoddy construction to us.
  • Photo 4: Craving fresh seafood? You’ll have to wait a little longer. Stingray Lounge uptown still a couple weeks out.
  • Photo 5: El-cheapo ladies clothing store “People” has been playing with people with their “going out of business” sale for a while. At least the sign is down now.
  • Photo 6: 1415 Park Place continues it’s evolution into a living, breathing building. For now at least, it kind of “matches” the BP gas station…

Don’t let a little rain spoil your plans! Get out there and explore!
