The new Walgreens Pharmacy building (formerly TD Bank) is one of the few remaining well-constructed structures of days past. Here’s an “artified” rendering of one of Hoboken’s most recognizable sights:

Macy’s Fireworks from Hoboken, NJ

Many will say that the annual Macy’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular is an art form in itself – however, I took that one degree further.

Waterfront in Hoboken can be relaxing

Sometimes, despite how hectic our lives can be here in Hoboken, a quick and easy way to escape from it all for a few minutes can be achieved by simply strolling down to the beautiful waterfront.

However, you have to make sure you avoid the areas that have collapsed into the Hudson River recently.

Batman makes the Hoboken411 Digital Art Gallery

I realized the other day – since I hear Hoboken’s Caped Crusader honk his horn over and over – each and every single day – and there are plenty of Batman photos and Batman videos and more Batman Videos and even more Batman Videos – that it was time to do something different.

So today’s Hoboken Batman is a Digital Art entry instead. Keeping the PATH train safe for everyone!

Malibu Diner: A very well known Hoboken Landmark

After publishing yesterday’s Hoboken Digital Art entry – and reminiscing about early Hoboken memories – I totally forget about what was probably the most memorable image one can have: The Malibu Diner (14th & Park). This is one sight practically everyone coming into Hoboken from the north sees each time they arrive. Duh!

What were some of your earliest Hoboken memories?

Many of us who call Hoboken their home – used to visit the city before they moved here.

Whether it was one of the many nice restaurants, or perhaps a bar by the PATH station, I’m sure there’s a couple places that stick out as your earliest memories.

Some of my original flashbacks include ONieal’s, Ted & Jo’s (which is becoming Johnny Pepperoni), Cadillac Bar (gone), and more. But this image sticks in my head because it was a spot we drove past often on the way to find parking (which was much easier back in the day!) And even though 7-Star(s) Pizza was remodeled a bit in recent years – still has a very similar look and feel that it did way back then.
