Hoboken Waterfront

Hoboken waterfront not bad {from certain angles}

While we typically paint the whole picture here (the good, the bad, the ugly), we have to admit that from certain angles – the Hoboken waterfront can certainly look appealing. Some shots may even be suitable for marketing or tourism publications. Like this shot the other day, when the winds were calm, and a bright sun shined down upon us. Prominently pictured below is the W Hotel and Pier A Park – as well as the towering World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.

But knowing Hoboken inside and out gives you a better perspective – and provides you with the skill to never wholly trust publications that only show positive highlights and good news. Because if you didn’t take things with a grain of salt – discovering the collapsing roadways, water main breaks and potholes would be that much more of a shock. Always good to be in the know! Remember that the next time you flip through a glossy promo piece about a place you’ve never been.
