Hoboken Photo Leftovers October 19 2013

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-5: {Ongoing}. Elysian Park makeover continues. What do we have in this update?
    • (1) A hipster bike was trapped in the temporary fencing! Protest at City Hall STAT!
    • (2-4) Various progress pics
    • (5) The park really felt relaxing once the playgrounds were removed.
  • Photo 6: Wow. Check that out, once a Dawn Zimmer supporter, this small business The Little Grocery now hates her guts and supports Ruben Ramos. I’m sure Tony Soares has also “threatened” to boycott the “mini egg sandwiches” that they sell too.
  • Photo 7: Interesting. The “Vote No” stand for the Rent Control Debate was curiously “vacant.”
  • Photo 8: The Madison Bar has a nice autumnal spread. Always classy these guys.
  • Photos 9-10: Game Stop on Washington Street had to close for a day due to a power outage. The reason? PSE&G said the wires went bad in the street due to water damage. Thanks, Hoboken infrastructure! Let’s build MORE!
  • Photo 11: As Maxwell Place gets tidied up, the neighborhood starts to take shape.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Hoboken!

About Hoboken Photo Leftovers

Hoboken Photo Leftovers is part of the Hoboken411 Photo of the Day series.

These are photos that didn’t necessarily warrant an individual posting on Hoboken411.

They may have been related to other stories – or completely independent. These photographs are remnants of our travels in the past week. But equally important in maintaining an historical record of “life as we know it” in the Mile Square City.

At the same time, these photographs may also mirror the unique personal opinion of the publisher of Hoboken411.com.

Regardless, the pictures add to the “virtual encyclopedia” that this site now represents. Thank you for your readership!
