Strollathon for Rett Syndrome
2013 Strollathon at Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, NJ
If you happen to be strolling around Maxwell Place this Sunday, and see a massive horde of stroller-moms, don’t be afraid. They’re not terrorists, but rather participating in the upcoming Strollathon event for Rett Syndrome.
The event takes place on Sunday, October 6th from 10am to 1pm. The actual “stroll” starts at 11am.
What is Strollathon? What is IRSF?
The Strollathon is the signature event of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF).
This fun-filled family event, led by local volunteers, raises crucial research dollars and public awareness of Rett syndrome (RTT) in communities across the country.
Since 2004, IRSF volunteers and families have helped raise over $6.8 million, and have grown the Strollathon program from four events to a planned 22 events in at least 25 locations this year. The day brings together the children and women living with Rett syndrome, their families and support systems, and the community for a fun day that includes music, food and plenty of children’s activities.
