Eli Manning & Giants suck. Blame politics?

Letter: Eli Manning killing Giants due to Hoboken political involvement

You Giants fans out there must be suffering so far this season. Blown out every game. Winless at 0-4. Some theories going around right now as to *WHY* Eli Manning and The Giants are so damn bad, might lead right back here to Hoboken, NJ.

Eli Manning performing badly due to local politics and Dawn Zimmer support

Open Letter to Peyton Manning – Help your brother Eli now!

The following letter (to Eli’s brother Peyton Manning) comes from Tim Occhipinti and the One Hoboken Team running for Mayor here in town. If you’re a Giants fan (and I know many of you are), you might want to join in on this plea to rid the Giants of the curse that is all but killing their season. Vote accordingly this November!

“Dear Peyton,
We write to you today, speaking as football fans and dedicated servants to our great city. We are candidates for Mayor and City Council in Hoboken, NJ –hometown to a fellow quarterback who shares the last name Manning.

You must have been proud of little brother Eli Manning, when he hoisted the Lombardi Trophy a few years ago, winning the Super Bowl in a dramatic fashion and earning his second ring and second Most Valuable Player Award. Now, with the Giants starting 0-4, it is looking as if you might be the only Manning playing in the Super bowl in NJ this February. We are writing this letter in the hopes of changing that, though. We are hoping you can talk some sense into our Giants quarterback.

In the past few weeks since baby brother agreed to throw his hat into Hoboken politics, and agreed to attend our opponent’s fundraiser; the Giants have lost every game, and Eli has had a very tough go of it.

We are not sure whether it’s the 14 sacks he has endured that made his off the field political decision-making questionable – or if the 9 interceptions and 2 fumbles this year show that he is making questionable decisions on and off the field.

What we do know is that concentrating on football alone could help our team get back on track.

Letter: Hoboken Political distractions killing Eli Manning & Giants

Peyton, you are breaking records with the Denver Broncos this year. On the field, you are known for fourth-quarter comebacks, incredible production, leadership, sportsmanship, a Lombardi trophy and your 12 Pro Bowl selections stand as the most in NFL history at the quarterback position. Your intensity level and your will to win are legendary, and you are widely known to limit distractions.

As the wiser, more productive, older brother, please talk to Eli. Please remind baby brother that four more years of no parking, flooding issues, bloated administration salaries and budgetary mismanagement are not what Hoboken needs. We need a new energy for all of Hoboken that will bring people together and get things done. When we are not distracted by the lack of production in city hall, we need a football team that produces wins and a quarterback that only concentrates on winning on Sundays.

Please Peyton, talk to Eli and help us get another championship. Let baby brother know that we believe in his football skills. We know his recent questionable judgment on the field and in Hoboken politics can be corrected. The Giants can get back on track and back to their winning ways! Let him know that 0-4 quarterbacks get involved in politics. Winning quarterbacks stick with what is happening on the field. Go Big Blue.

Warm Regards,
Tim Occhipinti (1J) for Mayor , Frank Raia (5K), Peter Biancamano (6K) and Britney Montgomery-Cook (7K) for Council At Large
The One Hoboken Team for Mayor and Council at Large

(Giant fans, Manning fans, and a team dedicated to a better Hoboken)

Anyone online that trash talks Tim hasn’t met him or spoken to him personally. Likely troll users for the opposition. Tim is a genuine good guy and is building quite a following around his ward and across the city. Zimmer and her cronies are scared.

That’s funny. He never responds to any of my emails. [quote comment=”221775″]Anyone online that trash talks Tim hasn’t met him or spoken to him personally. Likely troll users for the opposition. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Zimmer curse is true. Gints will be 0-5 this weekend, and probably 0-6 the week after that. Maybe they have a shot vs. Minnesota. But Manning shouldn’t be hanging out at Madison with all that negative political scum when he should be studying play books and clearing his mind.

Not really a surprise…Have you ever watched the council meetings? It’s like watching an 8th grade student council debate when he speaks. I would be really concerned if her became mayor, even though I am no fan of the current administration. Why can’t we get a qualified adult to run??[quote comment=”221761″]Is that letter for real??? Tim may not be a polished political speaker, but he is sincere and truly wants to help the community. Have you ever heard Dawn speak? A stuttering, whiny puppet who is coached behind the scenes by her handlers.

I have friends across the country who felt bad for us after Sandy and seeing Zimmer on the news weak and whimpery. Tim has our vote.
