Slovakia’s Prez “Oktoberfests” in Hoboken

Gasparovic celebrates Oktoberfest at Hoboken Pilsener Haus

Speaking of Hoboken Oktoberfest – the authentic feel that Pilsener Haus & Biergarten has even attracts Presidents from other countries!

Earlier this week, Slovakian President Ivan Gasparovic and his crew took a break from the United Nations General Assembly to celebrate the annual Oktoberfest here in Hoboken.

After long days of meeting with world leaders, including President Obama, and working to make the world a better place, few things are more satisfying than a frosty mug of pilsener and a platter of schweinshaxen (roasted pork shank). Pilsener Haus owner Ladi Sebestyan states, “Pilsener Haus is in part a reflection of the biergartens we knew growing up in our home country, and it was a special honor to welcome President Gasparovic to the biergarten we’ve built here in New Jersey, especially during the height of our traditional celebration.”
