Starbucks changing menu
Starbucks changing menu in Hoboken and beyond…
FYI – for all you “treat lovers” out there, today may be the last chance you have at getting your “favorite” treats at Starbucks. According to staff members, most of the “treats” you love shoveling down your throats will be discontinued (including that decadent BROWNIE you loved melting in you mouth and swallowing). Being replaced for the most part by La Boulange pastries.
However – from conversations with various baristas, they think you’ll be OK with it.

While 99% of the new product will be apparently “frozen,” Starbucks believes that by freezing these “treats,” it actually helps them earn more money, as less will go to waste (i.e., to places like the Hoboken Homeless Shelter).
From what employees told us, they are actually pleased with the change (despite any potential GMO garbage being injected in…) as it makes their jobs easier and more “efficient.” Because of various efficiencies, moving “product” will be a bit better, although some say that the “convection oven” will need to be operational almost the entire time – as “every treat needs to be resuscitated from the frozen state…” (they call that “served warm…”)
Here’s more: “La Boulange is a San Francisco bakery and café that has been serving artisanal pastries, and great food since 1996. From the beginning, a passion to offer wholesome food has made La Boulange a local favorite. Now we’re bringing their delicious food to you. Like Starbucks and coffee, La Boulange has always stood for so much more than just finely baked goods.”
And some of the new offerings. Have fun!
