Roosters Men’s Grooming Center

Roosters Men’s Grooming Center – 610 Washington St. – Hoboken, NJ

Roosters Men's Grooming Center coming soon to Hoboken NJReplacing the doomed Second Time Around at 610 Washington Street is Roosters Men’s Grooming Center. In other words, another Hoboken barber shop / salon.

“As men’s style changed, the unisex craze swept across America and barbershops almost disappeared. Men’s choices were limited to salons that were devoid of everything they enjoyed about getting a haircut. Interesting conversation and personal relationships were replaced by cold plastic seats, unpleasant chemical smells and awkward periods of silence. Stylists often clipped away at lightning speed to move from one client to the next as quickly as possible.

From the moment our clients arrive, it’s as though they have stepped back in time to a simpler way of life. At Roosters, we get back to basics, encouraging our clients to relax and unwind in an atmosphere reminiscent of the past, where the pace is slower and meeting the unique needs of each Roosters client is our first priority.

The Roosters experience combines modern grooming techniques with classic barbershop elements. We strive to provide men with a customized experience through services and products that reaffirm what it means to look and feel like a man.”

It should be noted that this is a franchise – part of the Regis Family of Brands – who are also responsible for two other Hoboken salons – Supercuts on Washington St. and the Regis Salon on River Street.

Including all their other brands, the Regis corporation has close to 9,300 locations nationwide. They’re in the Forbes 1000 and have annual sales around $2.3 billion dollars. In other words, this is no small business, but sort of like the “Walmart of Salons,” franchise owned or not.

Makes sense. More heads in Hoboken, more haircutters needed. I have a better idea. Aqua-salons. You know now many appointments are canceled from the flooding? Call in the barber boat! My idea don’t steal it. thanks.

it’s weird that there is no law preventing too “similar” shops from opening up right next to each other. So how is this gonna work? Maybe those laws exist in NY because I am pretty sure you can’t put a McDonalds and Burger King next to each other in NYC. This is dumb because it hurts both businesses and I think they’re in the wrong market for it as well. I doubt all of the hoboken men have been sitting home and hoping for a new barbershop to open up in town. Companies never do their research. They see Washington Street and think anything will work.
