Eyeshapes Hoboken – Moving

Eyeshapes Hoboken moving a few blocks…

Anyone not heads down on their phone would have noticed the “Eyeshapes coming soon to this location” sign on First Street (at the almost-complete Eureka mixed use building nestled between First and Newark a few doors in from Willow Ave.)

However, we believe this re-located vision care place will not be located in the window they suggest. As this 1,500 square foot space on First St. is zoned for a restaurant (including ventilation to the roof). I doubt an eye care place would need that much prime space. There are two other smaller ground-level retail spaces on the back side of this building on Newark Street (550 sq. ft. and 750 sq. ft.) But who knows, maybe there’s a ton of profit to be had in selling coke bottles?

Such exciting retail news to start the week, eh?

Translation: 10 year lease on Washington St is up, cheaper to move to First than pay the increase.

What a great place! Needed an eye exam and new eyeglasses. Very easy to get an appointment. Dr. Kansky did a very thorough exam. I really enjoyed the way he explained everything. The staff was very helpful with picking my new frames. I have received a lot of compliments. I would defintitely recommend.

You’ll get zinged sooner or later from these creeps. Believe they changed their business name (same owners) 2 or three times. Employees don’t seem to last either. I remember going there with a friend who had a coupon for 20 bucks off an eye exam and the doctor went ballistic because the coupon wasn’t presented BEFORE he presented the bill. We never went back, so he couldn’t jack up the price on the next visit.[quote comment=”200760″]What a great place! Needed an eye exam and new eyeglasses. Very easy to get an appointment. Dr. Kansky (Beverly) I found to be one of the better optometrists I have seen, and I have seen dozens. But they keep absurd hours. They seemed to be closed all of August, and now they are closed Wed the day AFTER Christmas when both of the doctors running the practice are Jewish?
