“A Wing and a Prayer” to Crown Best Chicken Wings in Hoboken
Hoboken’s finest establishments will be competing to see who claims the title of “Best Chicken Wings in Hoboken.” The winner will be crowned at the First Annual “A Wing and a Prayer” cook off, to be held on Saturday, January 26th, at the Elks Lodge (10th & Washington). The event starts at 6:00pm.
The lineup of culinary contestants features Carpe Diem, City Bistro, Hoboken Bar & Grill, Hotel Victor, Liberty Lounge & Grill, Marty O’Brien’s, Maxwell’s, Mikie Squared, 1 Republik, Texas Arizona, Wicked Wolf and Zack’s Oak Bar & Restaurant.
Sponsors include Munchies and Hoboken Elk’s Club.
Headlining the event’s entertainment will be the award-winning band, Cecilia Celeste, one of the Tri-State’s top up-and-coming acts.

Tickets to “A Wing and a Prayer” are $40 and include all-you-can-eat wings, sides, desserts, beer and wine – and the ability to cast your vote for Hoboken’s “Best Chicken Wings!” A silent auction and 50-50 raffle will also be held.
St. Francis Helpers, a philanthropic and outreach organization associated with St. Francis Church (308 Jefferson St.) is hosting the event. All proceeds will be directed toward support of local families and individuals impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
January 26 is the perfect Saturday to join in the fun! It is the weekend before the Super Bowl and an otherwise quiet weekend for events. The three best place for chicken wings in Hoboken are not competing– that’s unfortunate.
Biggie’s Clam Bar (Newark St. location) has the best traditional buffalo wings in Hoboken, and I don’t think anyone else is even close.
For non-traditional wings, Chickens Factory makes great Korean fried chicken wings, and Karma Kafe makes incredible baked chicken wings.
