DR. TERRY SCHWARZWALD IS A DAMN GOOD DENTIST. I’ve been going to Dr. Terry for 30+ years. I have several bridges and root canals that have lasted 20+ years. I won’t go to any other dentist. The problem is that so many people who go to see him have severe dental problems before he looks inside their mouths. And he does the best he can to do a good job and fair job with your teeth. Visit a dentist every 6 months to avoid severe dental problems.

DO NOT GO TO TERRY SCHARZWALD. today i saw him for the first time and he BROKE MY BUILT IN RETAINER that i have had for 7 years. he was picking at my teeth and i noticed that it felt different after. he looked at it and noted that it was “dented” and then told me “yep, it’s broken” but REFUSED to admit that it was his fault. he also wouldn’t show me the x-rays of my teeth but only said that i needed to get all my wisdom teeth taken out immediately (but no other information). this man was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. he has the SHAKIEST hands i’ve ever experienced and would not take responsibility for the fact that he ripped out my permanent retainer that i now have to get fixed.

seriously this man is terrible. i would love to prevent anyone from going there and experience what i did.

Fine for cleanings, but I will never go back for anything other than that.

Find a place that has a track record with a good, reputable lab to make caps, veneers etc. The people they use are hacks.

Dr. Terry Schwarzwald has been our family dentist for the past 20 years. He has always been respectful and polite. We find the the work he does is excellent. His new staff is friendly and curtious. We love the new location. The hygenist is an excellent addition to the office. In response to the other comments, I would like to say that when dealing with the general public it is hard to please everyone all the time.
The fact that Dr. Schwarzwald has been working in hoboken for the past 27 years shows that he is taking care of the community. I wish him much luck in his new location.

I have to agree with the majority of the posts. My one and only experience with Dr. Schwarzwald was enough for me to avoid the dentist for a year and a half. I only went to him because he was in my insurance’s network and I truely regret going to him. It was about 5 years ago when I stopped by the office to schedule a routine cleaning. The woman at the front desk gave me an appointment for a few weeks later. When I showed up for the appointment the same women told me that she had no record of my appointment. The funny thing was I talked to her on the phone a few days prior and she said that everything in regards to my insurance paperwork was in order and I was still scheduled for the appointment. Needless to say that should have raised a red flag but I agreed to another appointment. The second time I was able to see the dentist. The entire time Dr. Schwarzwald was insensitive, careless, and rough. My mouth hurt for a few days afterwards because he thought it was a good idea to try to jam his entire hand in my mouth during the cleaning. Afterwards he tried to get me to use a lipstick stained cup to rinse with. I pointed out to him that I needed a new cup because the other was already used. He tried to blame it on the woman at the front desk for not… Read more »

I’ve been to Dr. Schwarzwald’s office plenty of times before and my experiences were always good. Now they have a hygienist and she is really very good. In reply to all the bad posts above I can only say that is not possible to please everyone and as a person who works with the public myself , I must say some people are just sour and rude themselfs and like to blame others for their bad mood. With that being said I just suggest that you visit Dr. Schwarzwald , Dr. Pozzi or the Hygienist and take your own conclusions.[quote comment=”188615″]I have to agree with the majority of the posts.
