Hoboken photo remains of the week: November 17, 2012
Going to experiment with a new photo gallery feature here on Hoboken411 – the “Hoboken Photo Remains of the Week.”
These represent pictures taken on our travels over the past seven days – that didn’t result in a full story here on the main site (but rather a TOUT video clip as shown on the home page, a Twitter update, or possibly not at all).
See below for descriptions…
What else happened in Hoboken last week?
In the photo gallery above:
- For much of the week – the intersection at 7th & Washington was a disaster because a tractor knocked the only traffic signal down onto a moving vehicle.
- Garbage piles have been a huge concern for residents since the storm cleanup began. The patient folks dealing with the Park Avenue disaster finally got some results!
- And a few of the businesses coming back online on First Street, such as Village Pourhouse and Prompt MD.
- The owners of Augie’s Wine & Liquors near 5th & Adams were lucky the entire building didn’t burn down, thanks to lightning quick response from the Hoboken Fire Department. Apparently a refrigeration unit caught fire. Perhaps it should have been inspected after Hurricane Sandy?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
