Field Station Dinosaurs a great family trip in Secaucus, NJ

If you haven’t checked out Field Station Dinosaurs just a few miles away in Secaucus, you really ought to! It’s a cool outdoor “theme park” / learning center – and has over 30 Animatronic dinosaurs – including one T-Rex 90 feet long.

Dinosaurs just got scarier

It was open daily to the public all summer long, and now they’ve switched to weekends only (weekdays only for authorized school trips). To me, ticket prices are a bit on the steep side. General admission is $20 per person ($17.50 for kids and seniors), and the new Dinosaurs After Dark guided tour / thrill ride is a whopping $39 per person (everyone).

“Explore our darkened trails with just a flashlight. This unique family experience includes ghost stories, T-Rex games, a dinosaur sing-a-long with a spectacular view of the New York City skyline and a campfire with roasted marshmallows.”

The new tour runs Fridays and Saturday nights at 7pm. The whole park closes on November 11th.
