One less retail space in Hoboken thanks to Kings
Remember that kiddie dentist DePaola didn’t feel like paying rent in two Hoboken spaces, and combined his operations over at Maxwell Place?
Well, nothing new will occupy that space at 1209 Hudson Street, as Kings Supermarket is expanding.
They’re moving their storage space and refrigeration into that area, and have begun renovations inside the popular uptown food mart.
Word of caution, however – the construction going on inside is not only ear-numbing, but some residual dust may affect produce – so please be observant!
Enjoy when it’s complete!

Don’t know what was going on with these renovations last night, but there was a very strong odor and some high-powered jet was blowing this sweet toxic smell through the Kings and onto the sidewalk (possibly an industrial painting or lacquering process?). Washing produce is a very good idea!
