Well loved Hoboken resident Billy Bott passes away at 33

Hoboken411 reader Anita wanted to share some sad news about a long-time Hoboken resident who tragically passed away this week.

“A near 10 year resident of Hoboken, Billy Bott, passed away this week while playing basketball after work. He was just 33.

Billy was really special. He loved Hoboken, had purchased a home in the Maxwell Place about a year ago, and could be found on Sundays watching Giants games all over town, and tearing up the courts at the Church Street Park.

He was just one of those people who everyone loved to be around. His charismatic personality was infectious, he did everything from working the NYSE floor for Barclays to sweeping up after a beach bash in Manasquan with integrity, honesty and kindness, and he gave huge, goofy, monster-sized hugs.

His many many friends in Hoboken would love to have this shared. Services for those who knew him will be held near his family’s home in Long Island.”
