Short Fireworks Show near Hoboken
Residents and visitors were surprised by an impromptu fireworks display right off the Hudson River shorelines in Hoboken.
My initial guess it was a test run for the fireworks that will follow the Mumford & Sons Concert on August 1st – but then again, there’s always some special cause for fireworks on the Hudson going on (gay rights, save the puppies, Chet & Biffy getting married at some yacht club, etc.)
But in this case – it was actually a scheduled fireworks show on the NYC side near Pier 54.
Sponsored by some watch company called TW Steel USA.
Below is a quick video I TRIED shooting of the finale – however it may be a bit shaky because Hoboken411 Mascot Oscar goes berserk over fireworks (his only flaw).

Thanks for the update. While on my evening waterfront walk was surprised and wondered what it was for. That’s about all the fireworks I care for anyway, and no big crowds. Perfect bite sized portion. Next!

Definitely not sponsored by a baby crib company!
My kid threw a major fit. Not fun.
