Bike Rentals in Hoboken, NJ at “Love Bikes” 316 Washington St.
Benny Love – the enterprising local businessman who owns the Go Postal shipping/receiving center (recently re-located to 316 Washington St. – at Hoboken Paint and Hardware), now offers bike rentals as well!
Simple beach-cruiser like bikes are available for as little as one hour ($10), three hours ($20), or even daily rates ($75). Renters are required to be on the hook for a $250 pre-authorized charge in case the bike is severely damaged or stolen, however.
Feel like riding around this summer? Call (201)653-1080 for more info, or just stop by if you’re in the neighborhood.

I think city-wide bike rental is a great move, but those prices are crazy-high. when we go to vacation in Key West, it’s only $15 bucks a day. Heck, for $75 bucks (for the day rental), you could buy a new bike every time from Target, and then just toss it out!

I agree the prices are just not going to be used. The only people who might pay that our tourists and since the main group of tourists who come to Hoboken are looking for baked goods it doesn’t really seem like a good fit.

Those prices are pretty high and maybe I’m just being cynical but what’s the point? Tourists can barely manage to stand on the sidewalk outside of Carlo’s without getting in the way, now they’re gonna cruise around Hoboken on bikes? Good thing we have bike lanes…
