City Running Tours host Beer Run
Beer Running Tour this weekend in Hoboken
Back in the day when I drank beer, I never mixed it with food, because it was a gassy-ole’ time. I could NEVER imagine running after drinking beers!
However, don’t be mislead by the title of this upcoming event on Sunday, June 24th over at the Pilsener Haus & Biergarten (1422 Grand St.) – you will be drinking your beer AFTER you run a whopping 5 miles!

Runners and Beer Lovers in Hoboken Unite!
Nearly two and a half years ago, Hoboken-based City Running Tours brought its first Beer Running Tour to the New York City area. Now, they are excited to announce City Running Tours is launching a brand new run right here in Hoboken with the Hoboken Pilsener Haus & Biergarten.
On Sunday, June 24, 2012, City Running Tours will host a Guided Running Tour of Hoboken that will start and end at the Pilsener Haus & Biergarten. Join them and set out on a Five-Mile Running Tour where you will learn about the history, culture and urban myths of this great city, before returning back to the Pilsener Haus for a beer compliments of City Running Tours! Some people out there believe that beer makes an ideal recovery drink after a long run.
The cost is $45 dollars and includes the Five-Mile guided running tour of Hoboken, a bottle of water for the run as well as one post-run beer. You’ll also get the energy of a Sunday afternoon crowd at the Pilsener Haus – which always proves to be a good time.
Runs are led by the knowledgeable guides of City Running Tours. The tours will be run at a casual pace to suit all running levels, but average about an 11 minute mile with designated stops along the way. The run could take up to an hour and a half. Times will vary by group. There will be a coat/bag check available at the Pilsener Haus. The run starts at 10:30am, but online registration ends tomorrow at 6pm.
