Another Space Shuttle Spectacle
People gather to see shuttle in Hoboken; don’t know why
Once again, this “Space Shuttle“ stirred up people living in the area to flock to the shores of the Hudson River to capture this supposedly historic moment.
I happened to be walking Hoboken411 Mascot Oscar through the beautiful campus of Stevens Institute when this all went down. Helicopters, boats, and all sorts of commotion (and expense – someone had to pay for this!) for this prototype of a space ship that never logged a second in space. It will be a money-making tourist attraction near the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum now.
As you can tell – my life would have been the same regardless if I “witnessed” this event or not.
However, I did take one picture that I feel is worth sharing – and I entitled it “Shuttle Zombies,” because it reminded me of a scene from some sort of horror movie… “Ooooh, must see shuttle and update facebook… oooh… ahhh…”

I would have been tempted to pull a Ted Knight/Judge Smails:

I’ve seen a bunch of photos of this event, but this is incredible. While I’m on the subject I always notice that so many Hoboken411 photos are award-winning. Some people just have that gift for compositio– it’s appreciated and enviable.
