Head Pounding Construction “Symphony”

Uptown construction project in Hoboken is ear piercing!
Was loitering in uptown Hoboken the other day near the Rite Aid – and this scene at the new Willow14 construction project caught my eye.
I have to say, these pounding, noisy & irritating column hammering contraptions looked rather organized – like a orchestra or symphony. The big crane in the middle was the “conductor.” How sweet!
The problem here is, that the “notes” they produce are NOT appealing to (most) human ears. Judging by the number the complaint emails I get regarding this gig, they wouldn’t do so well on iTunes.

if you don’t want to deal with development noise, don’t move somewhere that obvious development is occurring, and more is on tap…

This building is supposed to have large retail space on the ground floor, with plenty of parking underground – how about putting in a Whole Foods or Trader Joes or Target — lets get some useful decent retail stores in!

“City life” or “greedy life”?
No worries, sweets. The construction ain’t goin’ anywhere, not with all the very-near-future crumbling roads and sinking sidewalks.
Keep on building.
