Hoboken Promises

411 reader Tim sent this YouTube video short in titled “Hoboken Promises”.

Ryan Quincy, Animation & Technical Director for South Park made the short, with music by the Leviathan Brothers.

Tim says “I have no idea how this relates to Hoboken”, and I agree with him. Perhaps it’s a sad interpretation about how waiting for things to get done in town is sorta like a being a dead multi-limbed creature floating to the bottom of the sea with treasure and a video game?
Not sure what cracker thinks this represents, but here’s my interpretation:

The 4-armed monster is a “promise” made by Hoboken officials. It’s a “song and dance” that gets the residents (the ones dancing) all excited..

Eventually, the gov’t (the thugs in the blimp) toss this “promise” aside, and dump it in the ocean to be forgotten about.. it lands at the bottom with all the other promises, like a “broken record” (seen as well at the ocean floor).

What do you think of that?
Promise = Master Plan?

I thought this was about a new rehab facility in Hoboken. What the heck is this?
