“Recall Zimmer” posted on Hudson St. light pole in Hoboken

Spotted this funny political graffiti on Hudson St. today – the message is “Recall Zimmer,” however the “artist” made the Z backwards. Unless someone named “Simmer” out there deserves to be recalled?

As residents open their tax bills and realize the campaign promise of a 25% tax reduction in the first year alone never surfaced, I’m sure most of them are thinking the same thing. But in the end, political graffiti is mostly ignored because no one really pays attention to their surroundings anymore.

Spare me. They are going to be plenty happy with their 17% cut. Lets not let perfect be the enemy of the good, or pretend that “coming up short” on a goal doesn’t mean that things didn’t get better.

A more than $100,000,000.00 budget for a mile square town is absurd! Just because we got a minuscule tax break only means we’re being robbed less than we were a year ago. Think about it. The mayor just hired a Business Administrator and an Assistant Business Administrator. The ABA position is absolutely NOT needed in a small town, especially with the size of the staff already in place in the business department. Everywhere you look in City Hall there are new hires! What about the new guy in the Dept. of Community Development? He was hired to run the Green Fair!!! Why couldn’t the Dept. of Environmental Services do that? So the mayor wants us to recycle to save money. To what end? So that it can be wasted on another high salary? What kind of administration is she running when every little task requires a new hire? Are her Directors so useless that they can’t handle the job? Please stop telling me that she is saving me money. My taxes are ridiculous and she needs to start delivering services and not fluff.[quote comment=”215184″]Spare me. They are going to be plenty happy with their 17% cut. Luckily for us Hoboken is just a temporary stop on the way to a much better place.
