Cell Signal Map

I ran across this site the other day, which allows regular people to “report” what their cell phone signal strength is for various providers on a Google map. I noticed there wasn’t much data for Hoboken, and figured we could use our collective power here to populate this map with our observations for the different cell companies.
Maybe this can help 411 readers in search of a new service determine which company has the best strength in their neighborhood.
Give it a shot! Signalmap.com

please don’t use the signal strength in side your apt, I have little reception in my apt – next to the elevator, but have good reception outside the door.

I get about 5 bars everywhere except for points on River Road, where it goes in/out sporadically. I do not, however, wish to mark up the map with that many insane signal logos, hence I chose my apartment as a single point of reference.

I get a lot of dropped calls along Pier A. I wonder if this could be because of competing signals from boats/ships and the seemingly perpetual fleet of low-flying helicopters.

http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ is actually pretty close to the inputs on the Google map–coverage has actually improved uptown since the last time I looked (and from experience)
