Triple-bang ticket thievery in Hoboken!

Three tickets for the same offense in Hoboken, NJ

Take a look at this most ridiculous situation again involving the almost criminal Hoboken Parking Utility (HPU).

Hoboken resident Ray spotted these tickets on a car (which was parked near an ambiguously marked curb) to find not one, not two but THREE tickets for improper parking too close to the cross walk.

To make matters worse – these three tickets were issued all within ONE SINGLE HOUR, by THREE different parking enforcement officers. Did the next two PEO’s not see the previous tickets? I don’t think by law, they’re allowed to do this more than once per 24 hours.

More trouble and inconveniences for Hoboken residents and visitors.

scarey..there once was a time that one could park in any part of Hoboken..Excuse/ im told was that out of towners came in parked in residential streets ,and went to work in nyc..this was 25 years ago…It is a horror to come to crappy hoboken and go to dinner only to find a boot and summons on ones vehicle,,.One cannot incorparate business reg shopping dining out etc and then fine those who visit .For many who choose to resiide here, you have to deal with it..Nyc is worse, but our town is a close second..Much ado over what cannot be controlled..Sign of the times.. 👿

the incompetence levels in this town are staggering. I can see maybe one officer not seeing the previous ticket, maybe, but 2 of them? Either the dumbest people in the world are walking our streets enforcing our parking rules or the HPU clearly out of control.

It’s insane. I was once given a ticket for parking without a resident permit. I clearly have my permit on my back window.

I called, the (horrendously impossible to deal with) lady on the other end rushed me off the phone and told me to mail it in.

I did so.

I got a summons weeks later for not paying the ticket.

I called again, they told me I had to come to court.

A month later, and 2 hours in court, it was exponged.

Safe to say that HPU is full of the worst human beings on earth.
the incompetence levels in this town are staggering. Not sure what word to apply for getting ticketed and towed for no offense – but it indeed happens. AND the parking authority will even fight you on it. They hope they can both shake you down and wear you out.
What kind of policy is that? Asinine!
